What surprised me first was how thoroughly this Deck Builder evaluated the slope behind our house before even talking design. Their team explained they’d install a hidden ledger board with a continuous flashing membrane to prevent water intrusion where the deck meets the siding, which isn’t something I had considered but clearly matters long term. The entire build wrapped up in just three weeks, including inspections. Now the deck feels solid underfoot and we’re actually using that backyard space instead of avoiding it.
